Deb Thorlakson is a Methow Valley resident who attended The Culinary Institute of America in New York and graduated with special honors in wines and spirits. Deb has cooked professionally in many areas, including; New Orleans LA, Naples FL, Montreux Switzerland, Café Juanita Kirkland, WA and Sun Mountain Lodge here in the Methow Valley. She has traveled extensively throughout the world and continues to enjoy travel, hiking and wine tasting in diverse regions. Active in the outdoors, Deb enjoys cross-country and alpine skiing in the winter, while summers find her on hiking trails, horses and bicycles. Deb also works in our tasting room and has written and tested most of our food pairing recipes.
