Tasting Notes
This wine is made in the style of the wines of the Cote Rotie in the upper Rhone Valley of France. The name is a cross between Cote Rotie and Goat Wall, a popular rock climbing area in Mazama. Rather than being a blend of older wines, this wine is a product of "co-fermenting" its constituent varietals which are harvested on the same day. The Viognier and longer time in barrel lend the wine a nose of stone fruits and black pepper. It is excellent paired with grilled meats.Aging: 14 months in 100% French oak barrels, 25% new barrels.
