As the name implies a massive wine with dense but supple tannins and dark color. Complex layered flavors of ripe cherry, chocolate, and mint with a deep mid-palate of blackberry flavors and a long finish.

This wine was a natural to take the name "massif" which is a description of mountain formations as well as a cognate for "massive."
